Leave a Lasting Legacy

Gift planning allows your impact to last a lifetime, and beyond

When supporting your charity of choice, there is little better than realizing your gift can go even further than you thought. By working with us and your personal financial advisor to plan your gift, you can make charitable contributions that maximize personal, family, and philanthropic goals, while providing special tax benefits in most cases.

Remember Champions in Your Will

The most common way to make a legacy gift is by bequest. By adding Champions for Children as a beneficiary in your will, you may be able to make a significantly larger and long-lasting contribution than you would during your lifetime. Bequests can be made as one-time cash donations, or used to set up personal endowments to benefit Champions in perpetuity. Talk to your personal advisors about what’s right for you.

If you’ve already included us in your will, let us know by filling out our Legacy Society enrollment form. It only takes a minute, and you can still keep your gift anonymous if you choose.

Other Types of Legacy Gifts

Your personal financial advisor can guide you through a wide variety of planned giving strategies that allow you to make a big impact on children and families while enjoying personal financial benefits like tax breaks or lifetime income streams.

If you are 72 years of age or older, one common example of a legacy gift is to make a tax-free donation directly to Champions for Children from your Individual Retirement Account. This type of donation allows you to forego tax payments on up to $100,000 of your annual Required Minimum Distribution.
