I’m a mom of 3 children. My background is teaching foreign languages (French and Spanish) in public high schools in Morocco. I have a degree in Spanish studies and early childhood education, and I’m fluent in 6 languages: French, Spanish, Arabic, Italian, English, and Berber. I’ve been serving families in Hillsborough County for more than 7 years as a case manager and I have been a Family Champion here for 3 years.

When you have 30 minutes of free time, how do you pass the time?

I enjoy cooking. It brings me joy to see others enjoy my food.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

I have a blue belt in Taekwondo

What three traits do you feel define you and why?

Generous: I love to give more of anything  (emotions, money, food…) than is strictly necessary or expected.

Helpful: My passion is helping anyone in need

Patient: I learned this from my mom. I’m able to accept or tolerate problems or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious

What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?

I would be a professor of foreign language at a university

What satisfies you the most about your current position with Champions?

I love working with the P3 program because I really enjoy working with children and families in my community and assisting in addressing their needs.
