Brianna’s Story

Mother of two making strides to be the best she can be.

Champions’ Parents as Teachers program promotes healthy development, school readiness, support for the parent-child relationship, and family well-being for children and families, prenatal through kindergarten. Parents as Teachers offers families access to a wide range of resources that help young children feel safe, nurtured, and supported to truly thrive.

Brianna is a participant in the Parents as Teachers program and a single mother of two children. When she found out she was pregnant with her second child, she was worried about her ability to raise and support another child after it had been 14 years since her first. Brianna joined the Parents as Teachers program because she was worried about her child’s development and wanted to understand developmental milestones and ensure her child was on track. Brianna says the information and support she received gave her the confidence to know her son is on track and that she has access to resources to help her family thrive. Now, Brianna is feeling confident, capable, and proud to be a mom of her two kids.
