Meet Sinziana, Coordinator of FRANC

A group of people pose for a picture. They are holding children's books.

Meet Sinziana Bularca! Sinziana is Champions for Children’s director of parent services and currently leading Champion’s newly expanded Fatherhood Resource and Networking Community (FRANC) program.

FRANC equips fathers and father figures in Hillsborough County with tools to sharpen and increase their fathering skills. Sinziana shares that she was made to lead FRANC and is passionate to do so because of her focus on building relationships, community, and building strong protective factors for all children and families.

Her favorite part of working with this program is the team! She explains “a lot of the FRANC talent are new to Champions, and they bring the same passion and values for fathers and families that we all have.”

She hopes to “provide a continuum of care for families and their children” and break language barriers in our community so everyone has a fair chance at receiving our services. “The father is whatever the child needs them to be – a nurturer, a supporter, a parent who loves you unconditionally,” she says also highlighting “when a father is involved with their child, the father benefits greatly too!”

Sinziana believes that the greatest myth about dads is that they are the “second parent.” However, she emphasizes that at Champions we believe father figures are key to strong families and thriving children. Sinziana says that children have better academic success and positive mental health when their father is involved in their life. Additionally, she states that “involved fathers report better well-being, economic, and financial outcomes.”

We understand that each fathering experience is unique. Visit FRANC online at cfctb.org/program/franc-fathers.
